Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son. When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her. – Lk 1:57-58
Elizabeth’s birth was a testimony to all “her neighbors and relatives.” They knew what she had been going through, and they saw God’s goodness put on full display. They witnessed His great mercy, and they rejoiced!
Share with the people around you. Tell them what you are going through. Have the courage to be vulnerable with your neighbors and relatives. Then, pray that God would come through and deliver on His promises: not just for your sake, but also for theirs. Your life will be a testimony to every man, woman, and child you meet on the way.
Prayer:
Father, help me to be a bold witness! I want to tell the world my testimony. Give me the courage to be vulnerable so my neighbors can see my victory, in Jesus’ name!
