Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And Balaam raised his eyes, and saw Israel encamped according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him. – Num 24:2
Balaam raised his eyes and looked at the people of Israel, and the Spirit of God came upon him. Simply beholding God’s people led to an encounter! All Balaam had to do was look at God’s people, and he was overcome by the presence of the living God.
What if we all led our lives in such a way that just looking at us would cause encounters? What if we were so devoted to the things of God that the Holy Spirit overcame onlookers every time they glanced in our direction?
Your life is an inspiration to others. Even if you don’t feel like you’re making an impact, you are! People notice the way you live for God. They notice the way a passion for His presence consumes your heart! Be encouraged; and keep inspiring.
Prayer:
Father, make me an inspiration! I want the way I live my life to inspire other people to follow Jesus. Help me, in Jesus’ name!
