The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people…but because the Lord loves you… – Deut 7:7-8
We are His people, and He is our God (Ex 6:7). God did not choose us because of our performance. He does not love us because of anything we have done. He chose us because He created us to love us!
God created us to spend eternity in heaven with Him. That is the reason you were made, and the purpose you have on this earth: to enjoy God’s presence, and come to intimately know your Father who loves you.
You have significance apart from performance. You do not have to earn salvation; only to accept it. There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more; and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less! So, relax. God chose you because He loves you; and He promises to love you forever!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for loving me. Thank you for choosing me, and for creating me in Your image. I want to spend my days worshiping You in awesome wonder. I want to know You more!
