Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” – Lk 8:8
Just keep sowing. Don’t get discouraged if you share the Gospel with someone and it doesn’t seem like they’re listening! Jesus told His disciples that not everyone would receive Him. He also told them that some who received Him wouldn’t last.
But the seed that falls on good ground makes up for it all! It springs up and yields a hundredfold. The multiplication that comes as good seed springs up more than makes up for all the times you feel like your words are falling on deaf ears.
Keep sowing! Keep sharing the Good News! Do not be discouraged, even if it seems like no one is paying attention. Even one saved soul is worth it all in the end.
Prayer:
Father, fill me with the strength I need to preach the Gospel with faith and boldness. Even if one person receives Jesus as I tell them about Him, it’s worth it all in the end!
