Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. – Lk 8:51
Jesus was about to raise a little girl from the dead. But before He did, He took care of some important business: He cleared the room of doubt and unbelief. He made sure there was an atmosphere of faith around the girl who needed to be healed.
Faith facilitates the miraculous; but doubt and unbelief can cancel it. Do you need a miracle? Surround yourself with people of faith!
But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat. – Lk 8:54-55
Prayer:
Father, surround me with people who have great faith to see miracles happen! Help me to clear the room of people who don’t have faith so I can have a faith-filled atmosphere as I wait for You to do Your work. I believe my miracle is coming, in Jesus’ name!
