Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

…seven days you shall eat unleavened bread …, that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. – Deut 16:3

We must remember what God has done for us. We remember by celebrating the victories He has given us in the past. When we celebrate past victories, we position ourselves for future victory! That is what Passover is: a perpetual celebration of the final victory God gave His people over Egypt.

What day did you give your life to Jesus? What day did you get baptized in water? What day were you baptized in the Holy Spirit? What day did God take your out of your last job, and make a way for a new better job? Mark them in your calendar, and celebrate them every year!

Celebration leads to remembrance; and remembrance prepares us for future victory. When we remember everything God has already done for us, believing for the future becomes easy!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for every victory You have given me! Help me to celebrate and remember them all. I know You are faithful! If You brought me to victory then, You can do it again!
