Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
But He needed to go through Samaria. – John 4:4

Jesus had no business being in Samaria. He was called to the Jews, not the Gentiles. He was on His way from Judea to Galilee, and this was nothing more than a pit stop for food and rest. But God put someone in His path who needed to hear the Gospel.

Who is God putting in your path who needs to hear the Gospel? Maybe you’re only half-way to where you think you need to be. Maybe you’re stuck in a dead-end job, or trapped in a city you don’t love. But God is still using you. You are there: with purpose, and on purpose. There are people right where you are who may never come to church, but who will respond to the Jesus in you!

Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Your life is not perfect; but you are right where you need to be. Open your eyes to people who need to hear Jesus, and then go out and tell them who He really is!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for my divine assignment! I know I haven’t arrived where I’m going; but I pray You would help me to make the most of where I am. I want to tell people how good Jesus is, every step of the way!
