Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. – Ps 6:2

Humility activates the mercy of God. David admitted he was weak! He owned up to the fact that he could not be strong enough on his own; and the minute he did, God’s infinite mercy unfolded over his life.

We gain nothing when we pretend we are stronger than we really are; but when we admit we are weak, God makes us stronger than we ever thought we could be. Ask the Lord to give you the courage to admit your weakness, knowing that as you do, God will fill you with His strength!

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”. – 2 Cor 12:9a

Prayer:

Father, thank You for keeping me honest! Help me to openly admit my faults, failures, and insecurities to You. I know that as I do, You will make me whole!
