Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” – Ps 122:1

Are you happy when you go to church? David was glad when he went into the house of the Lord. We should be too!

Church is so much more than just getting together with friends and acquaintances once a week to sing songs. There is a corporate anointing that can only manifest when we’re around other people, praying and pressing in. Our attitude when we walk in to church should be, “Anything could happen today. God could work a miracle in my life, just like that.”

When we show up excited to be at church – prayed up and spiritually prepared – God will do the impossible. There is no such thing as wasted worship! Don’t let another Sunday go to waste: get to church, and press in like never before.

Prayer:

Father, I speak abundant joy over our times of corporate worship in Jesus’ name. I never want to go through the motions. When I show up at the house of the Lord, I know my life is about to change – every time I come!
