Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
But the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.” – Josh 11:6

The Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, and the Hivites were all gathered for battle against Israel. Their armies contained, “…as many people as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots” (v 4). If Israel was going to panic, this would have been a good time!

But God spoke: “Do not be afraid…, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel” (v 6). The enemy was innumerable; yet God’s victory was inevitable.

What battle are you facing? Are you up against an army at work? An impossible battle at home? An insurmountable obstacle with your health? Trust God. If He says you don’t have to fear, that means it’s time for faith!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for fighting my battles! Remove all fear from me, and fill me with faith, in Jesus’ name. I am so grateful for the way You always fight my battles!
