Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. – Acts 10:1-2

Having a successful career doesn’t mean you can’t spend time with God! Cornelius was successful. He was a centurion: the captain of one hundred men! Yet he “prayed to God always.” He had plenty of responsibilities: men who “waited on him continually” (v 7), always looking for orders! Yet Cornelius always made time for prayer.

Don’t wait until you have more time to spend more time praying. Use the time you have now for prayer, and watch what God does in your life! Whatever you have to give Him, make it an offering; and it will rise up as “a memorial before God.”

Prayer:

Father, it’s time for prayer! I am always busy; but You are the God who created time. Help me to make more time to seek You in prayer: always and often, in Jesus’ name!
