Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” – 2 Kings 6:15-16

Elisha’s servant panicked because he could not see what God was doing. He woke up one morning in Dothan, and an entire army surrounded the city. Because he could not see how Heaven was moving in his midst, he did not know that victory was guaranteed.

Yet Elisha, is master, did not fear. Why? Elisha saw what God was doing. His spiritual eyes had been opened to the move of Heaven. He already saw, “…the mountain…full of horses and chariots of fire all around [him].” Elisha saw; so he was not afraid.

The key to fearlessness is seeing what God is up to. Ask God to open your eyes. Ask Him to show you what He is doing. Ask Him to remind you that what He is about to do for you, is far greater than anything the enemy could ever do to you!

Prayer:

Father, open my eyes! I want to see what You are doing. I want to trust You like never before. Show me what Heaven is doing, so that I might live without fear!
