Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Now the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, that I may show these signs of Mine before him… – Ex. 10:1

Moses knew Pharaoh would reject him. But God’s command was still, “Go in.” Moses knew Pharaoh’s heart would be hard! But God’s command was still, go talk to him. What are we supposed to do when someone’s heart is hard? Don’t walk away! Go in. God will equip you and prepare you to break the hard ground so He can deposit a seed of love in their heart.

All that matters is obedience. What God tells you doesn’t have to make sense! What He tells you won’t always be easy. But your response can be – and should be, with the help of the Holy Spirit – yes and amen to whatever God asks you to do.

Don’t back away. Go in.

Prayer:

Father, make me perfectly obedient. I am so thankful that You speak to me and tell me what to do at every turn! Now make me one who listens and walks it out, in Jesus’ name.
