Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds… – Heb 1:1-2
For centuries, God tried to convince His people He loved them! God sent prophet after prophet, but His people didn’t listen. They continued to live life apart from Him. They continued to ignore His voice!
But in these last days, God has “spoken to us by His Son.” The Cross of Jesus Christ is a prophetic and eternal declaration that God loves us more than we could ever imagine. God, “…did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all” (Rom 8:32)!
What more do you have to see? What more does God have to say? He loves you! He loves you! He loves you! Receive His love, and be forever changed!
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. – Jn 15:13
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your infinite love! I don’t want to run from You any more. I want to receive the infinite love Jesus died for me to have! I accept You into my life, in Jesus’ name!
