Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. – Matt 28:1-2

Jesus was dead. The disciples were distraught! They had followed this Man who claimed to be the Son of God for years; but now He was gone. Shut in a tomb! All hope was lost.

But then there was a great earthquake. There was a divine shaking! The will of Heaven collided with the Earth, and the very ground shook. God’s will invaded Earth’s despair, and the whole earth trembled. In one moment, Heaven and Earth intersected, and everything changed! Jesus was risen! Hope was alive! God had performed everything He had promised to do.

Are you ready for an earthquake in your life? Are you ready for God to shake up your circumstance in the best possible way? Believe that Heaven will invade your life. Hold out hope! In one moment, everything can change.

Prayer:

Father, I need an earthquake in my life. I need you to shake up my circumstance with supernatural purpose! Come in and invade the places where I’ve lost hope. Turn everything around, in Jesus’ name!
