Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” – Mk 1:41

A man with leprosy came to Jesus and asked Him for healing. This man had every right to wonder if Jesus was willing to heal him; there was no written testimony of the many signs and wonders Jesus performed. We, however, do not have the same excuse. We know that God is our Healer because of the written testimony He has left us in His word!

Jesus forever answered the question, “Is God willing to heal me?” with His response. He touched the leper, and settled the matter once and for all: “I am willing; be cleansed.” This response sets the precedent for any instance in which we need to know Jesus’ will for healing. Jesus was willing; and the leper was cleansed immediately.

God is Jehovah Rapha: the God Who Heals (Ex 15:26). Healing is not just something God does; it is Who He Is. Do you need healing? Declare healing over your body. God is willing to heal you! His will has not changed. He did it for this man with leprosy; and He will do it for you.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. – Heb 13:8

Prayer:

Father, thank You that You are my Healer! I believe that You are willing to heal me completely. I am going to praise and worship You in advance because I know my healing is coming!
