…And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. – Lk. 6:18a-19
First, Jesus spent “all night” in prayer:
Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. – Lk. 6:12
Next, He “came down” to a multitude of sick people who needed healing:
And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases… – Lk. 6:17
Then, the power of God went out from Jesus and “healed them all.”
And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. – Lk. 6:19
The world doesn’t need any more clever, thought-provoking sermons. The world needs power. The world needs healing! The world needs a touch from Heaven: saturation with the presence of God!
But you cannot get the power without the prayer. We must pray first; and the power will come.
Prayer:
Father, I want to pray like never before so I can see Your power like never before! Fill me with the healing touch that this world needs. I will lay hands on the sick and they will recover, in Jesus’ name!
