CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3:12) When you read the Bible, do you really believe it? When you read Old Testament stories – Moses parting the Red Sea, and Elijah praying for rain to stop – do you believe that those things really happened? If miraculous things took place then, under the Old Covenant, how much more should they be taking place now, under the New Covenant? Unbelief cancels the miraculous; but belief in God’s supernatural ability promotes it. Believe that God Is; and watch Him prove it to you every day.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You’re still just as miraculous today as you were thousands of years ago! I choose to believe in You and Your supernatural ability. I welcome Your Holy Spirit in my life!
