Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
…however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks… – Jn. 6:23

Jesus had just fed five thousand men (Jn. 6:10), plus women and children, with “five barley loaves and two small fish” (Jn. 6:9). That’s likely more than 20,000 people with a few pounds of food! Immediately following that miracle, masses of people who had witnessed it came to hear Jesus speak.

For people who don’t know Jesus: God will meet your needs. What you’re going through is more important to Him than it is to you! He wants to bless you, and He wants to provide for you. He is willing to meet a tangible need in your life to prove that He is capable of meeting the intangible needs of your soul.

For people who do know Jesus: Miracles create followers. People who experienced the provision of Jesus wanted to hear what He had to say! This is why we need healing in the church. This is why we need the supernatural in the church. This is why we need to move in power in the church! If we want the world to listen to what we have to say, we need to meet their needs by moving in miracles.

Prayer:

Jesus, I thank You that You are the God who meets our needs. Lord, I pray Your Holy Spirit would move through Your Church like never before. We want to meet tangible needs of people in our cities with Your supernatural provision, in Jesus’ name!
