Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. – Jn 6:44
All of us want our friends and family to be saved. I’ve spoken with many people who are in absolute agony and distress because their parents, siblings, or close friends don’t have a relationship with Jesus. “What should I do?” they ask. My answer: pray.
No one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him. Your work is to open your mouth and share the Gospel with your loved ones. God’s work is to prepare their hearts so your words penetrate deep and take root. Even the most pristine Gospel presentation will fall flat without proper prayer; but even the messiest introduction to Jesus will be effective when you pray ahead of time!
Pray that God will draw your loved ones to Jesus. Then, watch them come: one by one!
Prayer:
Father, I pray my whole household would be saved! Draw my friends and family to You. I pray that every person I know would have a real relationship with You, in Jesus’ name!
