Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.” – 1 Sam 14:6

Nothing prevents the Lord from working the miraculous: no matter the odds. Nothing restrains Him from causing all things to work together for our good (Rom 8:28). Gideon achieved victory with only 300 men (Judges 7:7), so why should Jonathan have put a limit on what God was able to do with the limited resources he had at his disposal?

Put yourself in situations were God can demonstrate the miraculous. When we step out in faith and believe in His word, nothing can restrain Him.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for giving me victory in every situation! Thank You for loving me as Your own, and proving Your love with action. Encourage me to present myself in situations where You can work powerfully, in and through me, to achieve the impossible, in Jesus’ name!
