Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” – 1 Sam 30:8

David didn’t have much! His family had been taken, and his city had been burned to the ground. But David still had the word of the Lord. He called out to God, and God answered! And that was all he really needed.

Do you have the word of the Lord? Has God guaranteed you victory? Then you have all you need! You can get through anything – no matter the odds, and no matter the obstacles – if you have the word of the Lord.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your word! I know that when I have Your word, nothing is impossible, in Jesus’ name.
