Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. – Ps 138:8

What do you care about most in life? Would you believe God cares more about your most urgent need than even you do? But it gets even better. God doesn’t just passively care about what concerns you; He perfects it. If something matters to you, it matters so much more to God; and when something matters to Him, He makes it perfect!

You are God’s workmanship, “…created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:10). God doesn’t leave any work He starts only partially completed. If He has given you a mission, He considers it His mission; and if it’s His mission, He will accomplish it!

Give up your concerns to God. He invites you to cast your cares at His feet (1 Pet 5:7); and when you do, there will be sweet relief:

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Matt 11:29-30

Prayer:

Father, thank You for taking on my burdens and my cares. I trust You because You are perfect. I know You can do everything so much better than I can do anything!
