Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. – Matt. 12:22
This guy had a lot of stuff going on. When he came to Jesus, he was 1) demon-possessed, 2) blind and 3) mute (unable to speak). But Jesus didn’t back away. He wasn’t turned off or overwhelmed by the depth of this man’s need! Jesus immediately met this man exactly where he was. He healed him and delivered him, “so that [he]…both spoke and saw.”
You’ve got issues! But Jesus can handle them. He can heal you of every disease and ailment with one touch! He can deliver you of any demon with one word. He can change your eternal future with one moment in His presence! So whatever you’re going through: bring it to Jesus. You bring Him your issues, and He will show you He is God.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for never giving up on me. I’ve got issues! But You have the remedy for everything that ails me. Thank You for healing me and delivering me, in Jesus’ name!
