CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“Then Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, ‘I have found the Book of the Law in the house of The Lord'” (2 Kings 22:8). The people of God had drifted so far from Him that they didn’t even have a copy of God’s Word in the temple! How far is your Bible from you right now? When you run into problems, trials and tough situations, is His Word the first resource you turn to? Keep a copy of God’s Word handy. It will provide you with wisdom you never knew possible!
Prayer:
Father, remind me to keep a copy of Your Word around me at all times! Whenever I need strength and encouragement, remind me to go to You!
