And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day… – Gen 3:8
Here we see God’s original plan for mankind: to walk with us in the garden in the cool of the day. God created you because He desires intimacy with you! He didn’t create you to follow pointless rules and be His slave. He didn’t create you because He was bored and just needed something to do. God created you to share intimacy with Him!
Do you desire intimacy with God? The truth is, God desires intimacy with you so much more. He created you for intimacy. Say yes to Him. Say yes to spending more time in His presence! Say yes to hours spent in prayer! This is your ultimate purpose: to spend time with a Father who loves you more than you can imagine!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for calling me Your child. I don’t even deserve to be in Your presence; yet that is where You have invited me for all eternity!
