Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. – Rom 11:29

God made you you on purpose. He created you to do something no one else can do. He designed you for great things, and His calling is irrevocable. “Irrevocable” means impossible to change, and unable to be reversed.[1] The King James Version says the gifts and calling of God are “without repentance.” In other words, God doesn’t change His mind! He loved you then; and He still loves you now!

Do not fall into the trap of thinking that what you’ve been through disqualifies you from ministry. The reality is, what you’ve been through actually makes you uniquely qualified for ministry! You get to reach people who are where you used to be! God has given you the victory; so now you get to go back and make sure other people in your old shoes know Jesus can get them out!

God never gave up on you; and He never gives up on your dreams. His destiny for your life is irrevocable – it will not change, because it cannot change.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for permanent, unchangeable, unshakeable destiny! Help me to embrace whom You have called me to be, in Jesus’ name!
