Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.” – Isa. 3:4
In the Old Testament narrative, immature leaders were the result of God’s people losing sight of God. When God’s people followed after Him, He gave them mighty leaders! But when God’s people turned from Him, He gave them “babes” – children disguised as men – to lead them.
Are you disappointed in the leadership in your city? In your state? In your country? The remedy is not to curse the leader! It is to repent and turn to God in prayer. Pray for your leaders. Pray for the people they lead! For only God can take babes and make them men.
Prayer:
Father, I bless the leadership in my city, my state, and this nation. Our leaders need my prayers! I accept responsibility to pray for them. Government cannot change without prayer! And change starts with me.
