Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2 Cor 12:9
God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. If you boast in your own strength, you will repel the supernatural; but when you boast in your infirmities, you become a magnet for the power of Christ!
Do you want to see answers to your prayers? Do you want the blind to see, the lame to walk, and demons to be cast out when you pray for people? You need the power of God! The more you boast in your own strength, the less God will work through you; but the moment you admit your weakness and demonstrate absolute reliance on God, He will make you strong!
Prayer:
Father, help me never to rely on my own strength. I want to boast in my weakness, and rely on Your strength! I ask for less of me, and more of You, in Jesus’ name!
