Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

“…the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate…” (1 Tim 1:9). The law can never be fully upheld by man, because none of us is perfect. The law was not created so men could brag about their ability to become righteous through it. The purpose of the law is to highlight the sin in our lives and point to our need for a savior. The law gives way to light. All of us have sinned; but Jesus Christ has died for all our sins.

Prayer:

Father, thank you that the law has given way to the Light. Jesus Christ came not to abolish the law, but rather to fulfill it. Thank You for Your Son!
