Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“The chamber which faces north is for the priests who have charge of the altar; these are the sons of Zadok, from the sons of Levi, who come near the Lord to minister to Him.” – Ezek. 40:46
The sons of Zadok had one job: to minister to the Lord. They didn’t have a day job to distract them or other responsibilities that got in the way. God provided for their every need, and they spent their days in dedicated service to Him.
God will do this in your life if you ask Him! He will set up your life so that you no longer have to work for a paycheck all day and then worship Him with your leftovers. He will give you the resources and the skill set necessary to make what you need part-time, so you can minister to Him full-time. Do you believe that He can do it?
There are two types of ministry: ministering to the Lord, and ministering to others. You cannot do the second without doing the first. Your life’s mission is to minister to the Lord! Are you making Him your priority?
Prayer:
Father, I want to live my life in service to You! I pray that my life’s mission and ambition would be to come near You and minister to You, just as the sons of Zadok did. Do not allow me to be distracted from this mission, in Jesus’ name!
