Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision… – Dan 9:23
God gave the command for Gabriel to go to Daniel at the beginning of Daniel’s prayer. He did not wait until the end; He dispatched him immediately! Daniel’s simple task until help arrived was to keep praying.
Sometimes answered prayers take time; but a delay does not mean the answer is not coming! God heard Daniel – not because of Daniel’s righteousness, but because of God’s mercy (v 18). When you trust in Jesus, He will hear you just the same!
Prayer:
Father, I know the answers to my prayers are on the way. Help me to wait in full faith that they are coming, in Jesus’ name!
