Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. – Ex 17:11

When Moses held his hands up, Israel prevailed! When he let them down, the enemy advanced. When you worship, you win! Your only task in your walk with God is to keep your hands up: to never stop praising Him, no matter what happens!

Moses got tired. He couldn’t keep praising on his own! But Aaron and Hur were there to help him. They held up his hands when he couldn’t keep them raised on his own. Surround yourself with good friends who will do the same!

Prayer:

Father, help me to keep my hands up! I want to praise You for all of my days. Surround me with good friends who will strengthen me to worship through every trial life throws my way, in Jesus’ name!
