Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” – Mk 1:41

When Jesus was moved with compassion, healing happened. When His heart moved, healing followed. When you are moved with compassion the way Jesus was, healing will follow you wherever you go!

When someone shares their plight with you, do you respond with compassion? Do you care for their wellbeing as if it were your own? Do you pray for their prayer request as if the answer to that prayer was your miracle, too?

Compassion is the essential ingredient to powerful prayer. Are you ready to be moved with compassion for God’s people?

Prayer:

Father, move me for what moves You! Give me compassion for other people. Allow me to feel just a shade of the infinite compassion you feel when You look at Your children!
