Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.” – Mk 16:6
The disciples came to look for the Living God in a dead man’s tomb. He was not there because He rose again!
Jesus did everything He promised He would do. He was crucified and died for your sins; and on the third day, He rose again! He conquered the grave with grace, and stole the keys of Hades (Rev 1:18). Because He rose again, nothing is the same.
Resurrection means new life. Jesus died and rose again so you could have new life in every single area: your marriage, your career, your finances, and your family! If Jesus conquered death, what more do you have to fear?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making a way where there was no way. I receive the gift of salvation! I know Jesus died for me, and I will use every breath in my lungs to thank and praise Him!
