Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. – Ezek 22:30

Your prayers matter. God would have held back destruction if even one man would have stood in the gap and prayed! But no one did; so destruction came. What a travesty when salvation doesn’t come to a city because no one was willing to pray!

Your prayers matter. When you pray, you “make a wall” (v 30) of protection around the subject of your prayers. Pray for your city! Pray for your home. Pray for your family! You can prevent destruction with your prayers! If you don’t stand in the gap, who will?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for hearing my prayers. I am just a man; yet You – the God of the universe – listen to me! Thank You for hearing me, every day, in Jesus’ name.
