Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. – 2 Thess 3:1-2
Paul’s final word to the church at Thessalonica was a plea: pray for us. Prayer is powerful. Your prayers count: no ifs, ands or buts.
Prayer breaks the power of the enemy. Prayer cancels the wicked plans of evil men. Prayer turns back the advance of Satan, and readies hearts to receive the Gospel. Prayer works!
Even the Apostle Paul could never have carried out his ministry without the prayers of the church. Who is out there who needs your prayers?
Prayer:
Father, make me a prayer warrior. Motivate me to pray for everyone I know. I know my prayers have power, and I am prepared to use them to expand Your kingdom!
