Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” – Deut 31:6

God’s presence is permanent. Israel didn’t have to worry that God would leave them at a moment’s notice! God is not a man that He should lie (Num 23:19). He doesn’t behave towards us, like we behave towards Him! He doesn’t promise to be there, only to scatter when things get tough. Aren’t you so glad He isn’t like us?

God is with you. Forever: no matter what! He will never leave you nor forsake you. He has always been there: even when you haven’t had any interest in hearing what He has to say. Take comfort knowing that the God of the Universe is with you, and He is on your side!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your permanent presence. I am so grateful that I never have to fear You leaving me. You are by my side, no matter what! I am so grateful for that, in Jesus’ name.
