Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

But as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not be anxious about them, for they have been found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you and on all your father’s house?” – 1 Sam 9:20

If Saul’s donkeys hadn’t been lost, he would not have been anointed King over Israel. When Saul left his father’s house, his whole family was experiencing a crisis. Their donkeys were lost, and Saul went to find them. As he was looking, he must have been panicked, tired and completely worn out. But his journey to look for that which was lost turned into his introduction to Samuel.

God turned Saul’s crisis into conquest. The search for the donkeys led Saul to Samuel; and the introduction to Samuel led to Saul becoming king! God’s plans for you are bigger than your wildest dreams. He will use your struggle to lead you into something greater than you could ever imagine!

So, what is your biggest crisis here and now? God will turn it into a conquest. He will anoint you to do something so big that you will completely forget about the mountains in front of you. Set out with full faith that God will recover everything you have lost, and He will bless you with so much more!

Prayer:

Father, thank You that Your plans are always bigger than my imagination. You turn certain defeat into inevitable victory. Thank You for Your faithfulness, in Jesus’ name!
