Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants. – 2 Sam 21:22
David was the first to kill a giant; but he would not be the last. When David killed Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, it was revolutionary. The Israelites had never seen a warrior – much less a shepherd boy – kill a Philistine giant before. But once David proved it could be done, many men followed in his footsteps!
Your victories matter. You are not just winning them for you; you are winning them so entire generations can follow in your footsteps. Take heart and keep moving forward, in Jesus’ name!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for positioning me to impact entire generations. My actions carve a path for my children, and my children’s children. Help me to know that every word, and every action, carries incredible significance!
