CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“So when this was done, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed” (Acts 28:9). Paul was shipwrecked and wound up on the island of Malta. Yet instead of complaining that he was detained, Paul used his supposed misfortune as an opportunity to minister. He literally healed everyone on the island who came to him with disease. God dropped him onto a completely unchurched island, and he won the whole island for Christ!
Prayer:
Lord, help me to make the best of my circumstances! Instead of whining and complaining when I feel like I’m stuck or thrown off course, help me to be like Paul and minister to everyone I come across!
