Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. – 1 Cor 6:20

The value of any thing is determined by the price a buyer is willing to pay. What you think you’re worth to God is irrelevant; what He paid for you is what matters. Satan did everything he could to drag you into the depths of your sin; but God paid the highest price to redeem you forever. He gave up everything He had for your eternal life.

You were bought at a price. God sacrificed His only Son, and purchased intimate relationship with you. God gave everything He had to give; and He did it for you. You are of infinite worth; you are incredibly valuable to God.

What would your life look like if you fully embraced the fact that you are God’s most prized possession? What would you do if you knew God was willing to protect your future at any cost? What risks would you be willing to take if you knew God was willing to make all your dreams come true? What if your decisions reflected the fact that God already gave everything He had to prove His love for you?

God loves you more than you could ever imagine. Now let’s start living like it!

Prayer:

Father, help me to understand the perfect love You have for me. You purchased me on the Cross, and deposited Your Holy Spirit in me as a guarantee that I am righteous! Help me to go out and live from the position of love You have given me!
