Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise” (Jer 17:14). Jeremiah had tremendous confidence when praying to God. He knew that God’s ability to physically heal him was inseparably linked to His ability to save his soul. We should have the same exact confidence: if God can save our souls, He can certainly heal our bodies!
Jesus used the seen to prove He was capable of the unseen. When the scribes doubted His ability to forgive sins, He proved He was capable of healing whole bodies by telling a paralyzed man to “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house” (Matt 9:6). Contend for your healing! Have confidence that just as God has saved your soul, He has redeemed your body!
Prayer:
Father, heal us! You are Jehovah Rapha. Healing is not just something You do; it is who You are. Help me to step into my healing!
