Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thess 5:16-18). Often it’s the shortest verses in the Bible that pack the most power. Rejoice always. No matter what’s going on in your life, you can take joy in the fact that you are redeemed by a God who loves you! Pray without ceasing. We are designed to live a lifestyle of prayer. So even if you don’t have hours every day to pray, you can always pray every hour of the day as you go about your business. Whatever you’re doing, invite God! Give thanks in everything. God is good, and He promises to bless us as He would bless His own Son Jesus Christ. This is God’s will for you!
Prayer:
Father, help me to keep it simple. I want to rejoice at all times. I want to pray without ceasing: everywhere I am and all the time. I want to stay thankful no matter what happens in my life!
