Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good” (2 Thess 3:13). Let’s face it: God asks us to do some very difficult things. But we’re instructed not to grow weary in doing good. So how do we avoid growing weary when everything God calls us to do is so hard? The Greek word for “weary” in this verse means “spiritless.” Rely on God’s Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit strengthens us when we’re weary. He speaks through us when we’re speechless, and refreshes us when we’re tired. Alone, we grow weary; but with God’s Holy Spirit working in and through us, we will forever be full of life!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit! I accept Your refreshing at all times, and I ask You to empower me to live a life called according to Your purpose, in Jesus’ Name!
