Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…” (Heb 10:24-25). God vey clearly instructs us to remain in community. I have met many Christians who are easily offended in church; and I have met some Christians who constantly leave one church in search of another because they have been offended. The result can be a child of God who forsakes the call to “stir up love and good works” in the people around him. Do not let the enemy convince you to leave church. No church is perfect. At some point, you will be offended; but it is never God’s will for you to miss out on community as a result. Find a church, and get plugged in. When you find yourself offended (and offense will surely come), remember to shower those around you with grace. “Freely you have received; freely give” (Matt 10:8).

Prayer:

Father, thank You for showing me grace: unmerited favor. Help me to show grace to others every day!
