Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. – Ex. 17:8

Israel had just achieved victory after victory. God rescued them from the army of the Egyptians (Exodus 15:19). When they were hungry, God rained down bread from Heaven (Ex. 16:4). When they were thirsty, God caused water to come out of a rock (Ex. 17:6)! And do you know what happened immediately after that string of victories? The enemy attacked.

Just because the enemy attacks does not mean that God has left you. A new attack does not negate all the victories God has won in the past! Satan wants you to believe that you are all alone: that the victories you have seen can never happen again! But I am here to remind you that God has brought you this far; and He will never let you down. He didn’t bring you here to leave you here; He brought you here to finish the job and lead you into your destiny!

Tell the enemy where to go. Raise your hands and thank God for victory! God will win this battle for you, just as He has won every battle before.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for continuous victory. Help me to never be discouraged when the enemy attacks! I know it’s a sign that I’m on the right track, in Jesus’ name.
